MIRB v1.0 Installation Notes ---------------------------- License: -------- A driver's license is not required to use this program. However, it is 'Copyrighted Material', and as such is not made available for you to profit from without discussing the issue with me. In fact, you may not include this program in anything you distribute without including the ZIP archive including ALL of the files in the distribution archive. See MIRB.HLP for information on the lack of anything resembling a warrentee. Files that should be in this archive: ------------------------------------- cmdialog.vbx 18688 4-28-93 12:00a commdlg.dll 97936 11-11-93 3:11a mirb.exe 12117 1-04-95 1:00a mirb.hlp 25001 1-04-95 1:00a vbctl3d.vbx 80644 11-23-94 1:51a Installation Steps: ------------------- This program has only been tested using Windows 3.1 and may require components or functionality not available in previous versions of Windows. For example, SHELL.DLL is required. 1. VBRUN300.DLL is required. If you do not have it, look for it in the MSBASIC forum on CompuServe. 2. Copy all .DLL and .VBX files to your Windows System directory if you wish. This is not strictly necessary, but seems to be a common procedure. Certainly, if the program complains that it cannot find one of it's components, you should do this. 3. Create a new directory for MIRB to reside in: Say "C:\MIRB" or something. This is not strictly necessary either, but is generally concidered good practice. MIRB use will the directory where it resides to store project files. 4. Copy, at least, the MIRB.EXE and MIRB.HLP files into the directory you have created. 5. Using the Program Manager (or equivalent) add this program as a new item to one of your groups. Say, the Accessory group. 6. Viola. Finally: -------- If you do run across a glich that makes you crazy and feel like you REALLY would like to continue using the program, then drop me a line on CompuServe and I will chat it over with you.
